Try the browser preview. It is not the full app: printing and the assistant need the desktop app, so use it whenever you can. The preview runs in your browser and your files stay on your computer. The editor's JavaScript and WebAssembly have an estimated first download of 9 MB compressed (gzip -9). Naming and CJK fonts load on demand.
